Co-engineering & laser cutting stainless steel gripper

Gripper for high-tech weaving machines

The company Vandewiele searched a partner in order to redesign a gripper consisting of seven parts. Wire EDM, riveting, milling and laser cutting were needed to make the gripper.

Simplification and engineering

This process could definitely be improved. Raytech reduced these seven different parts to a single part using one process, laser cutting. All the other processes were suddenly superfluous. This resulted in a significant cost reduction.
Thanks to a symbioses of the right material, the refined laser cutting technique and creative engineering of Raytech, a five-star solution was found for the gripper project.
